PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to commission the US$29 million, Midlands Park flats, a housing development scheme that will accommodate 1 000 families in Zvishavane.
The event will precede the President’s 83rd birthday celebrations slated for Muzondiwa Business Centre.
The birthday celebrations, dubbed Munhumutapa Day, are a brainchild of the ZANU-PF Youth League, intended to reflect on the pre-colonial exploits of the Mutapa Empire and the economic development under the Second Republic.
At least 30 000 youths are expected to attend the main celebrations, which will conclude with a musical gala later in the day.
