NEWCOMERS MWOS have taken the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League by storm, rising to the top of the table after an impressive two-nil victory over Yadah in a Match Day Three encounter at the weekend.

The Punters, who began the season as newcomers, have been quietly making waves, starting with a one-nil win over Bulawayo giants Highlanders in their opening match.

They then grabbed a point in a one-all draw with Bikita Minerals away from home.

Their latest victory, a convincing two-nil win over Yadah, has propelled them to the top of the table, with seven points from three matches. Notably, they are yet to taste defeat this season.

MWOS are closely followed by Ngezi Platinum, who also have seven points, courtesy of their one-nil win over Scotland on Friday.

Scotland, who were previously top of the table, have dropped to third with six points, tied with Manica Diamonds, who complete the top four.

FC Platinum and champions Simba Bhora occupy fifth and sixth positions, with five points each.

A cluster of teams, including Highlanders, TelOne, CAPS United, Herentals, and Kwekwe United, are tied on four points each from seventh to 11th position.

Chicken Inn and Dynamos find themselves in 12th and 13th positions, with three points each.

Green Fuel are hovering just above the relegation zone with two points.

The bottom four consist of Bikita Minerals, ZPC Kariba, Yadah, and Triangle United, who are yet to find their footing in the league.
