Mpedzanzara Millers hands over maize meal donation at State House

A local milling company has handed over a 10-tonne consignment of maize meal to President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare as the private sector steps in to complement Government efforts to ensure food security.

Mpedzanzara Millers made the donation this Wednesday, with the consignment expected to be distributed to beneficiaries selected by the President’s Office.

Speaking after the handover, company representative Mrs Adeline Kambarami said the initiative is part of efforts to support vulnerable communities.

“We operate Mpedzanzara Millers in the Guzha area of Chitungwiza, where we produce super blend roller meal, a local product that is being well received. We have brought a 10-tonne consignment to the President for onward distribution,” she said.

Mpedzanzara Millers is well known for supplying maize meal to Chitungwiza and surrounding areas.
