CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League log leaders CAPS United were held to a one-all draw by FC Hunters in a Match Day Seven encounter at Rufaro Stadium this Saturday.
The newcomers took a surprise first-half lead when Tadiwa Huni found the net in the 38th minute.
His strike came from a well-delivered cross by Godfrey Dabgwa, leaving Makepekepe with work to do after the break.
FC Hunters continued to threaten for much of the second half and looked on course for a famous win.
However, CAPS United salvaged a point when Takunda Benhura rose highest to head home the equaliser, ensuring the points were shared.
The draw keeps CAPS United top of the table on 16 points, but they will be wary of arch-rivals Dynamos, who sit just two points behind on 14.
Elsewhere, Bulawayo Chiefs and defending champions Scottland played out a goalless draw, while TelOne fell two-nil to Chicken Inn.
Hadrock edged Agama one-nil, while Ngezi Platinum and Triangle drew one-all.
Action continues on Sunday, with Highlanders hosting ZPC Kariba at Barbourfields, Manica Diamonds take on Herentals at the Green Fuel Arena, while Dynamos face FC Platinum at Rufaro.
Action concludes on Monday with MWOS and Simba Bhora clashing at Ngoni Stadium.
