DYNAMOS FC moved within a point of log leaders CAPS United after securing a 1-0 victory over MWOS, while Makepekepe suffered their first defeat of the season away to Ngezi Platinum Stars.
The Glamour Boys’ win at Rufaro Stadium came courtesy of a 72nd-minute penalty by Jairos Kasondo, ensuring they maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign with three wins and two draws from five matches.
Dynamos’ victory was further boosted by CAPS United’s 1-0 loss at Ngezi Platinum, a result that tightened the race at the top of the table.
The defeat leaves CAPS United narrowly ahead on the standings, with Dynamos now on 11 points, just one behind the leaders.
Elsewhere, defending champions Scottland FC also climbed to 11 points after edging TelOne FC 3-2 in a closely contested encounter in Gweru.
Newcomers Hardrock FC delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Herentals FC 4-1, while Triangle United registered their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over debutants Agama FC.
FC Hunters and ZPC Kariba played out a 1-1 draw, while Bulawayo Chiefs held Simba Bhora to a goalless stalemate.
There was also no breakthrough between Manica Diamonds and Chicken Inn, who settled for a 0-0 draw.
The midweek fixtures conclude on Friday with Highlanders FC hosting FC Platinum at Barbourfields Stadium.
