Bulawayo teams stole the limelight at the Darts Champions of Champions tournament held in Honde Valley, Manicaland, at the weekend.

It was an action-packed weekend in Honde Valley as the National Darts Association of Zimbabwe held the champion of champions tournament which marks the commencement of the darts season.

After a long layoff, darts players who last tasted competitive action at the Eswatini Region Five games did not disappoint.

Eleven teams converged in Honde Valley with RBZ Bulawayo and Wisewaters dominating.

It was a Bulawayo finale as RBZ beat Wisewaters 19-15.

National Darts Association of Zimbabwe president Maynard Moyo said focus is on taking the sport to all corners of the country as they seek to unearth more talent.

“It was a good tournament where we had combined sports tourism and playing. The venue was splendid and credit should go to the participating teams for giving it their all.”

The Champion of Champions darts tourney marks the beginning of the season and will be followed by the National Easter Tournament set for Mutare Girls High School from the 18th to the 21st of April.
