VICE President General (Retired) Dr Constantino Chiwenga is in Uganda ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s inauguration ceremony set for this Tuesday.
Dr Chiwenga, who is representing President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, will join other regional leaders expected to attend the ceremony.
The Vice President landed at Entebbe International Airport this Monday afternoon and was received by Zimbabwe’s Deputy Ambassador to Kenya, Uganda and Somalia, Ms Silibaziso Manyonga, together with Ugandan government officials.
Zimbabwe’s presence at President Museveni’s inauguration attests to the longstanding ties between the two nations, which have been sustained over many years.
