THE ruling ZANU PF affiliate, Christian Youths Towards Vision 2030, has expressed support for the Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill, saying it is intended to promote continuity and national development.
The group added its voice in backing the proposed changes, noting that if the amendments are adopted, Zimbabwe could experience accelerated development without obstacles.
“If this Bill sails through, we feel it will promote the empowerment of more women and also promote the continuity of some policies that are meant to propel development,” Vice Chairperson Christian Youths Towards Vision 2030- Beitbridge district, Miss Tendai Maziofa said.
“As youths, we are realising that this bill is meant to benefit us as youths because now we are getting land with title deeds, meaning continuity in supporting youth development in different spheres,” Advisor Christian Youths Towards Vision 2030 Beitbridge District, Mr Prince Tshinoni said.
“This Bill will promote continuity in terms of national development, and as youths from different churches, we really support it, and we believe it will sail through for the benefit of us youths,” National Secretary General Christian Youth Towards Vision 2030, Mr Descent Moyo, said.
The consultation phase of the Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill is set to conclude on May 18, after which the Bill will proceed to parliamentary debate.
