MATABELELAND NORTH – THE Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) continues to engage with its diverse audience through road shows with the latest having been held in Tsholotsho.
The government’s stance of leaving no place and no one behind saw the Tsholotsho community having a first glimpse of radio personalities while also presenting an opportunity for feedback for content improvement.
“As the Tsholotsho community we are honored to see the presenters of Khulumani FM and Radio Zimbabwe and interact with them,” a listener said.
“It is very exciting to see the people after listening to their voices only. It is really a pleasure to meet and greet with them,” another added.
Radio Zimbabwe’s Executive Producer Thulani Siziba commended the Tsholotsho community for gracing the road show.
“As Radio Zimbabwe, we have much to gain from engaging directly with our supporters. That’s why we take the radio to the people, to connect and interact with our listeners. Many people assume radio exists only at Montrose Studios in Bulawayo or at Mbare Studios in Harare, but we are here to show that presenters like Jabulani Ncube, PJ, and Ndudu are part of the same communities we serve. This initiative allows us to bridge the gap between broadcasters and listeners.”
In line with the government’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind, the national broadcaster has taken a stance of bringing radio closer to the people for community development.
