THE High Court is this Thursday expected to deliver a ruling on the application for referral to the Constitutional Court in the matter of Harare businessmen Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe who are facing fraud charges.
The duo is seeking to have their matter referred to the Constitutional Court arguing that their constitutional rights are being violated.
Justice Pisirayi Kwenda is expected to deliver the full ruling in open court.
The two who are remanded in custody are accused of defrauding the government of more than US$7 million in a goat supply tender scam.
They allegedly forged documents for their company Black Deck Private Limited to secure a tender issued by the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development.
