Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have vowed to strengthen bilateral relations which have seen increased trade between the two nations.
The two countries attach great importance to economic diplomacy, which is already propelling increased trade hence the two countries will continue to further explore prospects for cooperation.
This was said by UAE’s top envoy to Zimbabwe Dr Jassim Al Quassimi during UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations held in Harare this Monday.
“We are committed to exploring more prospects for cooperation especially in education. We look forward to continuing our partnership and building an even brighter future for our people,” he said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Professor Amon Murwira praised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
“We strive to improve and increase in trade taking advantage of the excellent political and diplomatic relations between our two countries. We want to continue with trade between our two countries we assure you. Zimbabwe is considering the finalisation of the proposed foreign partnership to improve trade between our two countries.”
Zimbabwe and the UAE enjoy cordial relations that have seen cooperation in mutual areas of interest such as trade, investment, education, culture and tourism with UAE becoming Zimbabwe’s second largest trading partner.
