The Zimbabwe Under-19 women cricket team is gearing up for their final group stage match against Tanzania at the T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda this Wednesday.
The Young Lady Chevrons started their campaign on a high note, thrashing Malawi by 144 runs, but suffered an agonising one-wicket loss to Nigeria.
Zimbabwe now face a must-win situation against Tanzania to secure a semi-final berth.
Victory will propel Zimbabwe into the semi-finals alongside Nigeria, currently topping Group B with 4 points.
Zimbabwe and Tanzania are tied on 2 points, while Malawi remain point-less.
Group A is poised for a thrilling conclusion, with Uganda and hosts, Rwanda who are tied on 4 points, clashing in a match set to decide who tops the group.
In the same group, defending champions, Namibia and Kenya will play for pride as they have found the going tough at the tournament.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
The finalists will contest for the sole ticket to the Under-19 Women World Cup in the final slated for the 29th of September at Gahanga Cricket Ground.
