Carla Hall to embark on cultural tourism

ZIMBABWE continues to attract international celebrities, with the latest being revered American chef, Carla Hall, who is in the country for cultural tourism.
Hall’s maiden visit to Zimbabwe which is part of her cultural tourism drive will see the revered chef, who is accompanied by her husband Matthew, visit places like the majestic Victoria Falls and numerous traditional restaurants, interacting with local chefs.
“Jackie made me fall in love with Zimbabwe. I am excited to be in Zimbabwe for the first time. I will visit Victoria Falls and some restaurants. It’s going to be about food and culture. So far, I have been to Mukuvisi and I must testify, Zimbabweans are wonderful people,” she said.
The visit is courtesy of renowned Hollywood make-up artist, Jackie Mgido.
“Carla saw the love I have for my country which prompted her to want to come to Zimbabwe. Our food is not profiled outside our country’s borders, so Carla’s visit is going to profile our food and chefs because we have amazing food and chefs in Zimbabwe,” she said.
Hall is famed for spending seven years co-hosting ABC’s Emmy Award winning popular lifestyle series ‘The Chew’.
She is also known for American television shows like ‘Top Chef: New York,’ ‘Top Chef: All Stars,’.
Hall is also a Food Network regular featuring on shows which include ‘Thanksgiving, Holiday and Halloween Baling Championships’ and “Worst Cooks in America”.
She has joined the bandwagon of international celebrities who have visited Zimbabwe for tourism purposes, and these include Wode Maya, Paris Hilton and Steve Harvey.
