PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officially open the ZimTrade Exporters Conference at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds in Bulawayo this Friday.
The high-level conference has attracted policymakers, financiers, farmers and exporters from across the country, with at least 450 delegates expected to attend.
The gathering aims to provide a platform for stakeholders to interact and share strategies to boost Zimbabwe’s export earnings and strengthen the country’s global trade footprint.
The annual exporters’ conference comes at a time when data from the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) shows that Zimbabwe’s exports rose to US$9.7 billion in 2025, marking a 30 percent increase from US$7.4 billion recorded in 2024.
Held under the theme “Rooted Locally, Growing Globally,” the conference is expected to focus on value addition, diversification of export markets and improving competitiveness in international trade.
