TEN people have died after a horrific road traffic accident involving a bus and a haulage truck along the Kwekwe-Gokwe Road early Wednesday morning.
ZRP Officer Commanding Midlands Province Commissioner Patson Nyabadza confirmed the accident, saying the tragedy occurred early Wednesday when a Trip Trans bus, which was travelling from Binga to Harare, reportedly rammed into the rear of a moving truck trailer.
Police say eight people died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries upon admission at Gweru Provincial Hospital.
14 injured passengers have since been admitted to Gokwe Hospital, with four reported to be in critical condition.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
