THE Chevrons are aiming to carry their winning momentum into the T20 International series against Bangladesh, with the opening match set for Wednesday at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Fresh from their One-Day International series triumph, Zimbabwe has turned its attention to the shortest format, with the squad completing its second training session ahead of the three-match series.

Bangladesh also stepped up preparations with an afternoon training session as both teams put the finishing touches to their plans for the opener.

Chevrons coach Justin Sammons said the team would remain true to its approach in the T20 format.

“We have our blueprint in the T20 format, and we will stick to our philosophy. We will allow the boys to play with freedom. Success in the ODI series gives us belief. We have been doing well against strong teams, and we beat a Bangladesh side that came here in good form, so we are looking forward to the challenge.”

Zimbabwe will be looking to maintain its recent form, delight the home crowd and make a winning start to the three-match T20 International series.
