A 26-year-old Zvimba man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of raping a six year old girl.
The court heard that the convict met the minor on her way home from school, tripped her to the ground and raped her once.
After the offence, the convict fled, warning the minor not to report the incident, but she went home and told her mother who filed a police report, leading to his arrest.
