ZANU PF rolls out strategic reorientation programme nationwide

THE ZANU PF leadership has taken its strategic reorientation programme to the grassroots, with Secretary-General Advocate Jacob Mudenda leading a high-level national outreach mission in Mashonaland West Province.

Following a series of high-level strategic workshops, the party’s Politburo delegation has begun rolling out its renewed vision across the provinces as part of efforts to strengthen structures and consolidate ideological clarity.

Addressing members of the Mashonaland West Provincial Coordinating Committee this Saturday, Advocate Mudenda underscored the central role of provincial leadership, describing it as the engine room of the party that must uphold the constitution in executing its mandate.

“Comrades, one of the most critical responsibilities of provincial leadership is to ensure that our party remains ideologically grounded, politically conscious and organisationally coherent. Ideology is the guiding compass that defines where we are going as a party, who we are, what we stand for and how we relate to the people. Without ideological clarity, our structures become hollow, our programmes lose direction, and our members become vulnerable to political manipulation. It is therefore essential that every provincial structure internalises the party’s ideology and translates it into lived experience,” he said.

Advocate Mudenda called on the Provincial Coordinating Committee to develop a clear, structured and results-oriented ideological education programme to ensure consistency across party structures.

He further emphasised the importance of unity and discipline within the party ranks.

“Above all, unity must remain our greatest strength. We must reject factionalism, tribalism, regionalism, indiscipline and any conduct that brings the party into disrepute. Let us foster disciplined, constructive and progressive engagement that advances the party’s vision and mission. We must intensify ideological orientation, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and ensure our structures remain active, responsive and connected to the people at all levels. The task before us is clear, to build a united, disciplined and ideologically grounded party that translates policy into tangible improvements in the lives of our people,” he said.

The national outreach initiative comes as ZANU PF steps up mobilisation efforts across all provinces ahead of public consultations on the proposed National Constitutional Amendment Bill.
