INTERNATIONAL tourists continue to rate Zimbabwe among Africa’s most memorable travel destinations, praising its hospitality, natural attractions and tourism experiences.
Visitors exploring some of the country’s premier destinations described Zimbabwe as welcoming, safe and rich in unique experiences.
This news crew caught up with a group of tourists from the United Kingdom in Hwange as they travelled to Hwange National Park.
One tourist said Zimbabwe had exceeded expectations.
“We’ve had a lovely stay in Zimbabwe, spending three days in Victoria Falls, and we’ve absolutely loved the experience. Seeing Victoria Falls was incredible, and the hospitality from the people has been outstanding. We’ve been overwhelmed by the warmth of the people, enjoyed excellent food and had some wonderful meals. If you’re looking for adventure in a beautiful, safe and welcoming destination, I highly recommend Zimbabwe.”
Another visitor reflected on the highlights of the trip.
“It’s been fantastic. We enjoyed a wonderful couple of days in Victoria Falls. We started with a sunrise walk where we had the Falls almost entirely to ourselves, making it a truly magical experience. We’ve enjoyed great meals at places like The Boma Restaurant and Dusty Road Inn. We even played a round of golf and saw mongoose, impala and monkeys along the way. It is an unforgettable visit.”
A third tourist encouraged others to experience the country.
“If you get the opportunity, come and visit Zimbabwe, especially Victoria Falls. You won’t regret it. We’ve had an amazing time, with exciting activities including white-water rafting, wildlife viewing and visits to beautiful locations. The food has been excellent, and the people have been absolutely wonderful.”
The recent relaunch of direct Air Zimbabwe flights between Harare and London is expected to strengthen tourism links with the United Kingdom, boost visitor arrivals and reinforce Zimbabwe’s position as a preferred regional tourism destination.
