Highlanders announce interim executive appointments

Story by Mthokozisi Dube

BULAWAYO giants Highlanders have moved swiftly to close the leadership vacuum by making interim executive appointments following the recent loss of key members of the club’s executive.

Committee member Kindman Ndlovu, who has been serving as Acting Chief Executive Officer, has been elevated to the position of acting chairman, while veteran educationist Elkanah Dube has been appointed to oversee the club’s administration.

Board member Mathew Sibanda will be responsible for the club’s financial affairs.

The interim appointments were announced by board chairman Luke Mkandla following a special board meeting.

The appointments will remain in place until the mourning period is over, after which club members will decide on the way forward regarding the club’s leadership.
