AGAMA Football Club have written a new chapter in Mount Darwin’s sporting history after being crowned Northern Region Division One champions, securing promotion to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) for the first time.
In a dramatic season finale, Agama thrashed FC Oden 4- 0, overtaking long-time leaders N’ombeyawora, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to MWOS U-19 on the final day.
Under the guidance of Coach Paul Chimalizeni, Agama went on an impressive unbeaten run of 24 matches, bringing top-flight football to Mount Darwin for the first time in history.
Agama now join FC Hunters, Hadrock, and Bulawayo Chiefs as the four teams promoted to the Premier Soccer League for the upcoming season.
