Simba Bhora in South Africa for PSL pre-season preparations

Reigning Premier Soccer League champions, Simba Bhora have set up camp in Polokwane, South Africa as they intensify their 2025 season preparations.

The Go Buju Boys will spend two weeks in Polokwane preparing for their title defence.

Coach Joel Lupahla is overseeing the training sessions and has taken advantage of the preseason camp to also prepare for the CAF Champions League, which gets underway in August.

“We are not just preparing for the Premier Soccer League season, we’re also focused on making a strong impression in the CAF Champions League. We know it’s going to be a tough competition, but we’re confident in our team’s abilities and we’re working hard to ensure we are ready for the challenge,” Lupahla said.

Simba Bhora have been busy in the transfer market, signing the likes of former Dynamos midfielder Donald Mudadi., enterprising central midfielder Blessed Ndereki from Yadah, and attacking midfielder Barnabas Mutuche who was at Manica Diamonds. Former Manica Diamonds defensive midfielder Trevor Mavhunga, Chicken Inn striker Malvin Hwata, attacking midfielder Emmanuel Ziocha formerly with Dynamos and winger Tinotenda Meke.

Defender Kelvin Gwao, versatile Liberty Chakoroma and experienced midfielder Never Tigere will all wear the Simba Bhora kit this season.

The team’s preseason preparations will culminate in the Castle Challenge Cup, where they will face off with Chibuku Super Cup winners Dynamos on the 22nd of this month.
