President Mnangagwa mourns former Bulawayo Minister of State Eunice Sandi Moyo

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has sent a message of condolences to the Sandi family following the death of former Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Amai Eunice Sandi Moyo.

Cde Sandi Moyo died at a local hospital in Bulawayo this Thursday.

In a statement, the President highlighted the late’s remarkable services to the nation, thus granting her the honour of a State-assisted funeral and burial.

President Mnangagwa said veteran nationalist was intimately involved with the politics of the liberation of the country and the development of the nation post-independence.

“The late Amai Moyo will be remembered for her sterling services to Metropolitan Bulawayo Province, and to our entire Nation under the First Republic. Always compassionate and gender-aware in outlook, the late Comrade Sandi worked exceptionally hard to rally communities for national community development.”

“In recognition of her outstanding services to our Nation, I am humbled to grant Mama Sandi Moyo the honour of a State-assisted funeral and burial. May her family’s grief be assuaged by the high regard she earned and deserved from all of us who worked and interacted with her,” said the President.
