TAURAI Muberekwa has been elected president of the Zimbabwe Handball Federation (ZHF) following elections held in Gweru this Saturday.
Muberekwa secured a resounding 8–1 victory over fellow contender Chiroodza in a tightly contested two-horse race.
Also elected to the ZHF executive were Clemence Tauro, who will serve as vice president, along with Petros Nyathi and Musana Chirikure, who will assume committee member roles.
The elections had previously been postponed in March, a delay that triggered a vote of no confidence in the outgoing executive, ultimately paving the way for Saturday’s vote.
