THE Zimbabwe senior women’s national football team, the Mighty Warriors, are hoping to conclude the Three Nations Tournament on a high note as they face off with Zambia at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this Tuesday.
After a deserved 2-1 victory over hosts Malawi at the weekend, the Mighty Warriors are eager to build on this momentum to secure another win in their last match at the tournament.
Boasting a mix of fresh talent and seasoned players from the local league, the Mighty Warriors have shown impressive hunger and energy after almost a year of inactivity.
Zambia will, however, provide a tough challenge, having won seven of their 11 previous encounters against Zimbabwe.
The team with the highest number of points after three games will claim the winning trophy.
The Three Nations Tournament has given the Mighty Warriors game time as they head into the new year, which promises to be packed.
Meanwhile, Malawi and Zambia are using the tournament to prepare for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
