THE ZANU PF national outreach programme has been taken to Mashonaland East province as the ruling party seeks to cement unity and support towards the Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill.

This comes after a Mashonaland East Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting was held in Marondera this Friday, where the provincial leadership was rallied to play an active role in advancing the implementation of the National Development Strategy Two (NDS2).

ZANU PF Secretary General, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, who led the national outreach engagement, emphasised the need to strengthen mobilisation efforts in support of the Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill, underscoring the need to strengthen administrative discipline, monitor and advance developmental programmes.

“Let us intensify ideological orientation, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and ensure that our structures remain active, responsive, and connected to the people at all levels. The Constitutional Amendment number 3 Bill must be a resounding success. For the next 90 days, you should become foot soldiers. As we advance towards the full realisation of Vision 2030, the responsibility of our provinces becomes even more decisive. Development must be inclusive, visible, and impactful,” he said.

“Consequently, it is the responsibility of the PCC to monitor projects, enforce accountability, and provide honest feedback that informs national decision-making. You must remain the eyes and ears of the party government on the ground. These interfaces, therefore, mark the beginning of a renewed phase of discipline, coordination, and action within our party structures.”

Mashonaland East ZANU PF Provincial Chairperson, Cde Daniel Garwe thanked the party leadership for rolling out the national outreach programme, which started with Manicaland, adding that his province is strongly behind the Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill.

“Mashonaland East in full support of the 2030 extension. We are appreciative of the development being spearheaded by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. All the party chairpersons and the last two conferences endorsed that President Mnangagwa should lead the country until 2030.”

The meeting was also attended by senior Politburo members who include National Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, Cde Patrick Chinamasa, Cde Lovemore Matuke, Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi, Cde Douglas Mahiya, Cde Tino Machakaire, Cde Mike Bimha and Cde Mabel Chinomona, as well as the Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister, Advocate Itayi Ndudzo.

The Chairperson of the ZANU PF Council of Elders, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi was also part of the meeting.
