The dashboard will facilitate the timely obtaining of critical and accurate progress updates helping the office of the Vice President make informed decisions and timely interventions,” said Dr Dube.
Termed the Chiringa dashboard, the monitoring tool which provides real-time updates on project statuses, milestones, progress or lack of it, was developed by the Bindura University of Science Education.
Bindura University of Science Education’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Eddie Mwenje said, “The development of the monitoring and evaluation dashboard by our software innovation hub, is a testimony to our university’s innovation spirit and dedication to contributing to our nation’s advancement. This dashboard guided by the integrated results-based management system aims to provide a powerful tool to project officers and decision makers to monitor the implementation of various projects effectively.”
The three-day hands-on training session, which attracted project officers, managers and directors from 10 ministries under the social services cluster is also expected to generate information on how to improve the Chiringa dashboard, which is in the initial roll-out phase.
