THE Zimbabwe netball team, the Gems continued their impressive form at the 2024 Africa Nations Cup, thrashing Eswatini 78-27 in their second Pool B match in Swakopmund, Namibia.
The Gems were in control from the onset, taking a commanding 20-6 lead in the first quarter.
Led by Captain Felistas Kwangwa, the Gems maintained their dominance in the second quarter, stretching their lead to 39-13 at halftime.
Eswatini struggled to contain the Gems’ attacking prowess, and the Zimbabweans continued to pile pressure in the third quarter.
By the end of the match, the Gems had secured a comprehensive 78-27 victory, with Eswatini unable to get even half of the Gems’ score.
The Gems will return to the court for their final Pool B match against hosts Namibia, looking to maintain their winning momentum and secure a spot in the semifinals.
