All former American heads of state, President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump, attended the state funeral of the late former US President, Jimmy Carter at the National Cathedral this Thursday.
Former President Biden delivered a eulogy at former president Carter’s state funeral at the National Cathedral, before the body was taken to Georgia for burial.
Carter, who served as the 39th US president from 1977 to 1981, died aged 100 on the 29th of December last year in his hometown of Plains, Georgia.
He will be laid to rest next to his late wife Rosalynn at a private ceremony in Georgia later this Thursday.
