DYNAMOS narrowly avoided relegation after holding on for a goalless draw against FC Platinum in a tense Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season finale at Rufaro Stadium this Sunday.
Head coach Kelvin Kaindu, who took charge mid-season, played a central role in stabilising a side that had slid into the relegation zone.
Kaindu’s July appointment has proved to be divine intervention, as he steered Dynamos from the turbulence of a poor season, taking over when they were placed second from bottom.
The Zambian coach, known for his calm demeanour, brought purpose and direction, guiding the team to a remarkable turnaround.
True to the Biblical quote” the stone which was rejected by the builders, became the cornerstone of the house,” Kaindu had just been rejected by Highlanders, only to anchor hope at the Glamour Boys.
Dynamos navigated the relegation trap, avoiding defeat, and celebrated survival with unbridled joy after the season finale draw with FC Platinum.
One thing is clear: Kaindu’s Dynamos pulled off a miracle, cementing his reputation as a master tactician and a man of unwavering faith.
Meanwhile, relegation drama unfolded elsewhere; Green Fuel bowed out after three years, falling to a 1-1 draw with Triangle United, who secured survival.
Yadah FC’s 1-0 loss to Simba Bhora ended their nine lives in the PSL.
Bikita Minerals also went down, losing 1-0 to Manica Diamonds.
Chicken Inn and Highlanders shared a 1-1 draw, breathing a sigh of relief and keeping their top-flight status.
