Beitbridge trio on the run after brutal beer hall murder

Story by Providence Maraneli

A manhunt has been launched for three suspects in connection with a gruesome murder of a Matibe man at a beer binge in Beitbridge.

Villagers in Zulunga under Chief Matibe were left shell-shocked after the trio of Prenny Ndou, Francis Ndou and Clive Mudau allegedly killed their drinking companion Titus Ndou in the full glare of the public.

It is alleged that the now deceased was in the company of Francis Ndou, drinking traditional beer, when they started fighting over an unknown issue and were restrained by other patrons.

It is further alleged after some time, Francis returned with his friends Clive and Penny and started assaulting the deceased.

The deceased then tried to flee but was caught up by Penny who stabbed him with an okapi knife, leading to his death.

Matabeleland South Police Acting Police Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Stanford Mguni confirmed the incident.
