Air Tanzania to launch Zim-SA route next month

Story by Tichaona Kurewa

AIR Tanzania will introduce a new regional air service linking Zimbabwe and South Africa, with operations set to begin on December 11, 2025.

The route, connecting Dar es Salaam-Victoria Falls-Cape Town, will operate twice weekly, with flights scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays, according to the airline’s official timetable.

The arrival of Air Tanzania underscores Victoria Falls’ growing reputation as a destination of choice and reflects the dividends of government’s timely intervention to modernise the country’s aviation infrastructure, including upgrades at Victoria Falls International Airport.

Air Tanzania becomes the 12th airline to service the Victoria Falls route.
