CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League side TelOne FC has strengthened its commitment to youth development after entering into a twinning arrangement with Mambo High School in Gweru and launching a football academy aimed at nurturing future talent.

The partnership has resulted in the establishment of the Mambo High School Football Academy, which will provide aspiring footballers with an opportunity to combine academic studies with structured football training.

Under the arrangement, TelOne FC will provide qualified coaches, training equipment and playing kits, while creating a pathway for talented players to progress into the club’s senior team.

“This is a milestone as we look at developing players, and football, its structured development,” TelOne FC president Mr Oscar Nduwure said.

The academy launch forms part of the club’s 10th anniversary celebrations and coincided with the unveiling of TelOne FC’s new playing kit.

The initiative reflects the club’s long-term vision of building a sustainable future through grassroots development, while strengthening structures designed to identify and nurture emerging talent.

The launch also comes as the club looks ahead with renewed optimism, focusing on long-term growth through youth development following changes to its technical team during the opening stages of the league campaign.
