State visit ends with renewed Zimbabwe-Botswana cooperation

BOTSWANA President Duma Boko has departed Bulawayo following the conclusion of his three-day State Visit to Zimbabwe.

During the visit, President Boko and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa co-chaired the 5th Bi-National Commission in Harare on Wednesday, where the two countries signed 10 memoranda of agreement across key sectors.

The Botswana leader also officially opened the 66th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo on Thursday.

As part of his itinerary, President Boko toured several strategic projects, underscoring growing economic cooperation between the two nations.

He was seen off at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport by President Mnangagwa, Vice Presidents General (Rtd) Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Colonel (Rtd) Dr Kembo Mohadi, along with Cabinet Ministers and Service Chiefs.

The visit marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and Botswana, with a focus on trade, investment and regional cooperation.
