Botswana President Boko honours Zimbabwe’s heroes ahead of landmark BNC talks

VISITING Botswana President, Advocate Duma Boko, paid tribute to Zimbabwe’s liberation heroes at the National Heroes Acre in Harare ahead of the 5th Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC).

President Boko inspected a Guard of Honour and laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the solemn ceremony.

He was accompanied by members of his Cabinet, including ministers responsible for Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Transport and Defence, as well as Zimbabwe’s Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Barbra Rwodzi.

The visit underscores the strong historical and diplomatic ties between the two neighbouring countries.

From the National Heroes Acre, President Boko is set to join President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa for the BNC summit, where several Memoranda of Understanding are expected to be signed to deepen bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
