Scottland FC gets financial boost for CAF campaign

SCOTTLAND FC have renewed their partnership with IMC Communications as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions step up preparations for their maiden appearance in the CAF Champions League.

The renewal follows a US$1.6 million sponsorship package extended to the Mabvuku-based side last year, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the club’s growth and competitiveness.

Club chairperson Everson Chatambudza described the development as a timely boost ahead of a demanding continental campaign.

“IMC has been with us since last year, and they have renewed their sponsorship to the club, which will go a long way in boosting our preparations for the CAF commitments as well as the defence of the league.”

Scottland executives, led by club president Scott Sakupwanya, together with IMC Communications director Wicknell Chivayo, unveiled the sponsorship in Harare on Tuesday.

The CAF Champions League preliminary round is set to begin in September, with Scottland aiming to make an impact on the continental stage after winning the Premier Soccer League title in their debut season last year.
