ZIMBABWEAN sprinter Leeford Zuze delivered a commanding performance after breaking the 45-second barrier in the men’s 400 metres in Gaborone, Botswana, this Saturday.
Zuze finished second behind Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo at the Road to Botswana Golden Grand Prix held in Gaborone.
Tebogo won the race in 44.37 seconds, while Zuze clocked a personal best time of 44.91 seconds.
Zuze is part of Zimbabwe’s 4x400m relay team, which will compete at the World Relays, also slated for Botswana in May.
