FORMER Dynamos Coach Genesis Mangombe is gunning for his second Chibuku Super Cup trophy as he leads Triangle United in Saturday’s final against the glamour boys at Gibbo Stadium.
Mangombe, who won the Chibuku Super Cup with Dynamos in 2023, is plotting the downfall of his former paymasters.
This Saturday is more than just a match day; it is a date with destiny as the Sugar Sugar Boys prepare to host giants Dynamos, who have won the last two editions.
Triangle are also gunning for glory to appease fans who stood by the team as they fought for survival in the top flight until the last day.
“With that survival bonus, I think we are good to go and everyone is motivated. We have a drive-in that one, so we are trying our level best. This is a Cup game and we just have to win at all costs. The good thing is that we are playing at Gibbo, which is our home ground, and we will take advantage of that. I think we are going to give a good result come Saturday,” Mangombe said.
The Sugar boys are hoping to win their second Chibuku Super cup after winning the coveted trophy in 2018.
