ALL is set for the List Awards ceremony scheduled for this Friday in Harare, where outstanding personalities from Botswana, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe will be honoured for their contributions across six categories, including sport, social impact, and gender development.

Awards board chairperson, Pastor Philani Nyatsanza, confirmed that preparations are complete, adding that the event will celebrate individuals and organisations making a positive difference in their communities.

“We are excited that we have an independent board that looks into the nominations, the voting and acceptance of nominees. Those have already been done, so we have a short list of the finalists who will then be announced at the awards. We have six categories. We will be looking at sports, social impact, gender, and social well-being.

“Part of our SDG, as well as Vision 2030, is to look at human capital development. In human capital development, one of the aspects we look at is recognising the people who are putting in the effort at the grassroots.

“There are men and women working at the grassroots to empower societies with skills, providing health services and ensuring the well-being of people, so as we do this, we believe it encourages them and also gives them visibility,” he said.
