THE City of Kings and Queens is once again at the centre of Zimbabwe’s infrastructure dialogue as Mine Entra 2025 and the AfriConfex Conference officially opened this Wednesday at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo.

The day commenced with the high-level AfriConfex Conference, setting the tone for the week under the theme: “Integrated, Climate-Resilient, and Sustainable Infrastructure Development.”

The event is being headlined by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Honourable Felix Mhona, and is bringing together a wide range of stakeholders, including policy makers, engineers, and investors, to explore opportunities in green infrastructure development and enhanced regional connectivity.

Speaking after touring stands at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibitions, Honourable Mhona underscored the importance of infrastructure as a key driver of economic transformation, noting that the Second Republic continues to prioritise modern, climate-smart infrastructure to boost trade and industrialisation.

The synergy between Mine Entra and AfriConfex has placed mining and infrastructure at the heart of Zimbabwe’s growth narrative, aligning with the country’s vision of value addition, industrialisation, and sustainability.
In the afternoon, focus shifts to business facilitation as Mine Entra hosts the Buyers Programme Speed Networking Session.

The event is designed to connect leading mining houses, including Zimasco, Unki Mine, Hwange Colliery Company, and Blanket Mine, with suppliers across the mining value chain for structured procurement meetings.

The ZITF Company says the networking platform is aimed at strengthening local supply chains, encouraging investment partnerships, and unlocking opportunities for SMEs in the mining ecosystem.

This year’s edition also underscores the growing emphasis on sustainable infrastructure as a driver of economic transformation and regional integration.
