THE Minecon Expo 2025 continues to attract substantial local and international participation, with exhibitors highlighting their growing confidence in Zimbabwe’s mining, logistics, and construction industries.

International companies are actively taking part, underscoring increased investor interest and optimism in the country’s resource-driven sectors.

“We have seen that there is a big opportunity in Zimbabwe, and we saw an advertisement for Minecon, so we decided to exhibit. I hope that there is a big opportunity for us in Zimbabwe, especially in the mining sector, particularly gold mining,” Urja Exports Director§132456, Jay Patel said.

“We are here representing FBM haulage. We are a full-service logistics provider, and we move everything from fuel to chemical compounds and petroleum products to general cargo. We invite you to come to our stand at Minecon. We have lots in store for you,” Director FBM Haulage, Tadiwa Munywarara said.

“Our organisation is A.M Machado, we are building contractors in all things building, and we are here at Minecon to show we are all things building in mining as well. If you know anything about construction, our friendly staff are here to walk you through procurement, budgeting, and ultimately implementation,” Representative A.M Machado, Wimbiso Simbi said.

Minecon director Shingirayi Ngwena outlined ambitious plans for the expo’s future growth and regional expansion.

“This is our inaugural event, and we plan to grow in the next couple of years to make it one of the biggest mining and construction expos in Southern Africa. As we expand, we plan to do an indaba, where key stakeholders in the industry and government will see how we can expand this expo in the mining and construction industry. We encourage Zimbabweans to come. It is day two today, please come, tomorrow is our final day, so come through,” Ngwena said.

The strong participation signals growing confidence in Zimbabwe’s mining and construction sectors, positioning the country as an emerging hub for mining investment in the region.
