PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa says government continues to support Zimbabwean students studying abroad and is ready to ensure their integration into local production value chains to promote science, technology and innovation.
As has become tradition, President Mnangagwa accords Zimbabwean students studying abroad an opportunity to interact with him whenever he travels to various fora.
In Russia, students came in their numbers to meet President Mnangagwa who emphasised the importance of science and technology as pillars for growth.
The students raised a number of issues including mutual recognition, measures that government is undertaking to protect its citizens and the availability of a fund to propel start-ups.
President Mnangagwa assured students that government will continue to take care of its citizens and create an environment for them to thrive.
The students, who were drawn from various universities in Russia, are studying agriculture, tourism, international relations, law, mining and engineering.
