A Victoria Falls man has appeared in court on charges of illegal possession of dagga.
It is the State’s case that on April 22, the Zimbabwe Republic Police received information indicating that Gift Thabani Lunga was in possession of dagga at his residence in Chinotimba in Victoria Falls.
Police officers proceeded to the residence where Sinikiwe Mangisai, identified as Lunga’s girlfriend, answered the door.
A search uncovered a blue bag containing 83 sachets of loose dagga, with a total weight of 450 grammes, with Mangisai implicating Lunga as the owner of the dagga.
A manhunt for the suspect was launched, leading to Lunga’s arrest on April 30, at a shebeen in the same suburb.
