MINING firm Bravura Group has handed over houses built for families affected by the company’s operations in the Kamativi area of Hwange.
The new houses being given to affected families are a commitment by the company to its corporate social responsibility programme.
Bravura Mining reiterated its commitment to communities’ empowerment.
“Bravura is dedicated to creating self-sufficient states in our community it operates in, especially Kamativi,” Bravura Country Director, Mr Chucks Macjulie said.
The government has expressed gratitude to investors who are participating in the revival of the Kamativi mining area.
“After 30 years when we had all lost hope of the revival of Kamativi, now we have two big companies that have made our dream come true through the able leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, he gave us a promise to revive this place and now it is here,” Matabeleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Richard Moyo said.
“We celebrate not only these new houses, but we are also celebrating the realisation of the resuscitation of Kamativi. All the houses and structures which are here belonged to Kamativi Tin Mine many years ago, we have brought as the government of Zimbabwe two investors and some of the houses have been put under KMC and some under Bravura,” the Permanent Secretary for Presidential Affairs, Engineer Tafadzwa Muguti said.
The Second Republic’s engagement and re-engagement agenda and open-for-business mantra have been instrumental in attracting investment into various sectors of the economy.
