ZIMBABWEAN mixed martial arts star Themba Gorimbo is walking with a spring in his step after an impressive debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Gorimbo, who had a long wait for his UFC debut, gave fans a glimpse of what to expect after knocking out Pete Rodriguez in a welterweight preliminary bout at Saturday’s UFC Vegas 85 event.
Affectionately known as ‘The Answer’ inside the UFC Octagon, Gorimbo pulled out a superfast right-hand punch that dropped his opponent and followed up with some ground pounding before the fight was waved off via TKO in the opening minute.
The victory has put Gorimbo in further spotlight after his time in EFC.
