A 43-year-old woman from Mutare has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in facilitating the rape of her six-year-old daughter.
The woman, who was found guilty after a full trial, had orchestrated the horrific crime by inviting her male friend to their home and assisting him in the assault.
According to reports, the mother had undressed her child and watched as the rapist committed the heinous act. The young victim later confided in her grandmother about the abuse and her mother’s involvement.
