The country’s new representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, Police Commissioner (Retired) Ever Mlilo, says she will work hard to project Zimbabwe’s aspirations of peace and development.
The new Ambassador-designate paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the State House in Harare this Wednesday to get her marching orders.
Speaking to journalists after bidding the President farewell, Commissioner Mlilo said it was a priviledge to be serving the nation.
“it is a moment of tremendous privilege, it is an honour that has been bestowed on me by the President to represent him in this capacity,” she said.
Commissioner (Retired) Mlilo, who is a legal officer by profession and served in the police force for 20 years, replaces Ambasssador Stuart Comberbatch who has retired.
