War veterans, ex-political prisoners, detainees and restrictees have gathered in Mapanzure, Zvishavane district for the Presidential War Veterans Fund launch.
Midlands province is the latest to benefit after the roll out of the programme in other provinces that include Masvingo, Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland East and Bulawayo.
The launch not only serves as a financial boost to those involved but also symbolises a broader recognition of the essential role played by veterans in shaping the nation.
A total of US$1.5 million has been allocated for the Presidential War Veterans Fund.
