BRIAN Bennett has moved into fourth place on Zimbabwe’s all-time T20 International run-scoring list after surpassing former captain Hamilton Masakadza.
The milestone was achieved during Zimbabwe’s ICC T20 World Cup clash against Australia national cricket team in Colombo.
Bennett marked the occasion in style, compiling a composed 64 off 56 deliveries, which included seven boundaries, as Zimbabwe stunned the former world champions.
At the top of Zimbabwe’s T20I run charts is captain Sikandar Raza with 2,913 runs. He is followed by Ryan Burl in second place and Sean Williams in third, with Bennett now firmly established in fourth and closing in on the leading trio.
The latest achievement underscores Bennett’s growing influence in Zimbabwe’s T20 setup as the Chevrons continue their campaign at the global showpiece.
