As anticipation builds, the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup trophy is touring Zimbabwe to drum up excitement among cricket fans. The trophy tour began in Masvingo on Sunday, moved to Bulawayo, and is scheduled to reach Harare on Wednesday.

With just ten days remaining before the opening match, cricket administrators say logistical preparations are on track to ensure a successful tournament across the two host nations.

Former Zimbabwe captain Tatenda Taibu has been appointed tournament ambassador, with a mandate to inspire young cricketers and promote youth development through the global event.

Zimbabwe will open their campaign against Scotland before taking on England and Pakistan in the group stages of the competition.
